50 Best ChatGPT Prompts for 2026 (Copy & Paste Ready)
I spend way too much time testing prompts. It's become something of an obsession, honestly. But after years of helping brands figure out their AI workflows, I've developed a pretty good sense of what actually works versus what sounds impressive but falls flat.
Here's the thing: most prompt lists give you generic templates that produce generic output. What actually works is understanding why certain prompts succeed. So I've put together 50 of my go-to prompts across 10 categories—the ones I genuinely use and recommend to clients.
Quick tip before you start: Copy any prompt, swap the [PLACEHOLDERS] for your specifics, and you're good to go.

A Few Things I've Learned
These prompts will get you solid results, but here's what makes the difference between good and great output:
Show, don't tell. Instead of describing what you want, include an example of good output. ChatGPT learns fast from examples.
Be specific about format. Want a table? Say so. Bullet points? Request them. The AI won't guess your preferences.
Set constraints. Word count, reading level, tone—the more specific you are, the better the output matches your needs.
Iterate. Your first prompt is a starting point. The magic happens when you refine based on what you get back.
